Most of us underestimate just how important laughter actually is.
The fact that people with anxiety disorders and depression, for example, don’t laugh, is not something we typically pay attention to – they are depressed after all, aren’t they?
But that’s the thing – that lack of laughter only makes their condition worse.
A very informative article.
Cheers, Vlad!
Yes Vlad, People who suffer from those conditions have a hard time finding humor in things. But I also see alot of people with those conditions who can. Many comedians have PTSD and have given us some of the best comedy in the world. Unfortunately, many do not get the help they really need and tend to hide behind the humor instead of being healed by it. I’ve experienced this. I think Robin Williams may have too. Laughing has its place, and we would do well to make it a healing catalyst in our lives.
People in general need more laughter in their life. Of course, not so much that people think that you have short circuited something in your brain. However, most people tend to lean towards the laughter deficient side rather than having too much of it. It really does have a lot of benefits, and it helps breaks tension when it shouldn’t be there. For example like meeting someone on a date or trying to bond with a family member. I like laughter. I laugh a lot myself. I even get a lot of people involved. Thanks for the tips Robin.
Hey Blame! Thanks for stopping by. Glad you’re on the laughing train and I agree, most of us are on the deficit side. Life can become so serious at times. We need to lighten up a bit right? Thanks for doing your part!
